Hugh MacLeod

I met this great Artist last week while attending the Miami Antiques show in Miami Beach FL. Needless to say we had a few very good conversations over drinks. Hugh's outlook on life and sense of humor is refreshing and disturbing which I like. I was easily able to relate. He lives in Marfa Texas. Not a bad spot. Take a look at his BLOG and especially the link to the Wine Vineyard project. It is a must see and is a small glimpse in the goings on in a small West Texas town called Alpine.
Excellent stuff!

68 Chevelle Barn Find

I know it looks like a heap but the hidden potential of a find like this is worth more then the surface patina on this beauty. One day I hope to find a thrashed survivor like this ( it may be all I can afford) and turn it into something special. Dream fodder.

Cragar SS wheels

This is one of my favorite designs. A true classic and many times imitated but never duplicated. A old standard that time after time looks good on almost any classic ride. A 15x10 with a good healthy backspace is always my favorite. Classic wheels has the full history as well as many other styles and a very good place to get educated.

Love the 1970's

Whether you loved it or hated it the 70's did come up with some wacky looks and hot rods were no exception. I do love stuff like this especially the gold rims on the GTX ( though I would never have the aesthetic commitment to pull that one off myself on an all black paint scheme). I especially love the tuckn'roll diamond interior and panel paint treatment on the challenger below ( seaworld fantasy meets Mopar...) The full panel Chevy in the middle just screams Riverside CA 1977.
