Hunting on rupert murdoch's Old Farm

Here is Wylie and his friend Colin Anderson taking a nice scenic stroll through the former estate of Mr Murdoch. This was a beautiful day and wylie had a fairly good time running around. I don't quite know the acreage here but the farm is expansive with amazing views of the Catskills off in the far distance. There are actually two homes on the property. The manor house is on the hill and the guest quarters are in the valley you see here below. We did see a rabbit that day which was exciting and a few low line Angus cattle not paying any attention to us at all.

Mopar Madness!

Love the old nostalgia cars. They are always close in my mind regarding the aesthetic appeal of days gone by. A simpler time where people I think had a bit more fun and were not as serious. Love the dragster on the top. The scale is just perfect and it is a fine example of speed for the era of the 60's. I think I was born a bit out of step as that would have been a great time to be around.

The Gasser Mopar below is another wild example if the straight axle trend of the late 60's. This one is a bit on the ugly side but in a good way I think as you just do not see cars like this around much any more at the strip.

My GSXR Finally Fixed!

Not great pic of the old bike as it was raining but you get the idea. Finally have a bike I can ride again. Bike had a very tough summer but now back to her old self. The solo tail section is new..an eBay purchase that only took me 6 month to find. Will be selling her in the spring most likely now that it is all ready to go. A good bike for someone who takes it seriously as this bike will bite back if you let it.

Vintage Motori Gets Dirty

Finally got my old DR 250 put back together. Love this bike it is like a giant tractor and could climb up a tree it has so much torque. Any way after fabricating new side panels by hand and customizing the rear fender you see here as well as the front the bike looks respectable and ready to race. I hope to be doing that soon enough. The motor is all good now and super strong..it barely ran when I got it..left for dead.

Wyle on Track

Wylie walking in the walk-athon for school. His entire grade was on the track and most of them walked between 7 and 9 miles! Wow. It was super windy that day but the sun was out and the kids had lots of fun. They were able to raise some money for their school and have a great time in the process! Good job everyone!

Washington Square Park

Wylie in Washington Square Park NYC. Found a great sand mandala the other day. It was more of an art piece then a religious one and was just beautiful. The park itself which has been going through a major renovation over the past few years is now almost done and looks great. Take a look at their site.

It's A Van Baby!

Ran across this time warp vehicle last week. Weather you hated them or loved them or just didn't care the vintage custom Van is a true rare bird these days. Most subjected to drug crazed destruction many of these 70's icons never made it into retirement.

This Chevy is a very mild custom but love the short wheelbase and the 15X10 mags on the rear. This one was was actually hauling furniture...still in use! Good on ya ugly duck.
