A beautiful modern day rendition of a Bonneville Salt Flat Racer. Love this look and what it tells about its purpose. Build by Cole Foster at SalanisBoyz Customs.

The Hudson River Day line would run from New York City to Albany regularly providing a valuable commuting or travel option to pre- depression era travelers. Faity Tuttle told me a wonderful story last night that she would travel on the Day Line with her children to Hudson New York for $5.00. The expense of gas at that time helped make the decision. They would leave their car in Hudson and drive the remaining country miles to Merwin Lake for the weekends where they all still reside. The small fee included a state room and as one can imagine with the magnificent views of the Hudson Valley accompanied by the music and lively passengers I am sure it made for an unforgettable voyage. Learn more HERE. Wylie is studying the Hudson river with his class this year and this is another example of the rivers past charms.

Here is Wylie and his friend Colin Anderson taking a nice scenic stroll through the former estate of Mr Murdoch. This was a beautiful day and wylie had a fairly good time running around. I don't quite know the acreage here but the farm is expansive with amazing views of the Catskills off in the far distance. There are actually two homes on the property. The manor house is on the hill and the guest quarters are in the valley you see here below. We did see a rabbit that day which was exciting and a few low line Angus cattle not paying any attention to us at all.
